Why do my coworkers make me nervous?

-I live in Korea. My coworkers are Korean. I don't talk to then cause their gossips. It reminds me of being in hs. Everything I say will be repeated. When I'm around them they make me really shy.It sounds like you're being smart, your social survival instincts are kicking in. However, you need to make sure its not paranoia or getting in the way of you making genuine honest good connections with people. Be sure to check if you feel this paranoia when also out of the workplace, if you do NOT then its likely you are having a normal reaction to back stabbing, if you DO then perhaps you could do with reevaluating how you see others, levels of threats etc, speak to a doctor or a close friend about it. Good luck.i think u need to take a deep breath and try to be nice to them and try to talk with them so u can know them better and they can know u better and u will feel less nervous
Make them nervous by not saying anything and look them in the eye. Eye contact makes them nervous. Nod your head for yes and no. Watch for body language then copy them and laugh.
I think your afraid that your coworkers will spread rumors or judge you harshly.
