Is my friend being selfish?

-My friend she wants us to visit her next Monday since it is a statutory holiday. She is doing her 2 month internship in a small town where everyone rides horses and buggies. It takes us 2 hours to drive there since we are NOT staying there so we are going home on the same day. Therefore I will be in the car for 4 hours in total. I went to the mall with her last week already when she came home. We are just there to like hang out in the house she rented and probably walk around the town. At the same time I am worried I might miss my chance to spend sometime with this guy I am doing. We started our relationship and cause he will be leaving for 1 year and three months soon for his internship in another town I want to spend sometime with him. He isn't interested in coming along. I am just mad because 2 months ago she wants us to go on a trip with her. When I told her I can go on a trip with her just cannot use my vacation days since I started my new job. She didn't email back letting me know she will just go with another friend of ours. So she and him started making plans for their trip while I was thinking I am still going on a trip with them during the long weekend.She's been selfish. Get her to meet you half way at least. Or don't meet her at all. But after reading situation I think she's being incredbily selfish, you need to quit being a people pleaser and do what you want to do because trust me in the end people do just stab you in back.We are just there to like hang out in the house you rented and probably walk. So close your friendship.

do a rain check is she really your friends and is she worth it some ppl can be inconsiderate of others feelings so i suggest you tell her how you feel if she is your real friends she'll change or at least try to if she doesn't make any attempt to change move away from her you don't need to be around her try asking her to stay bye you for a day (go through that 4 hours journey like you did) if she finds fault in this then she isn't a good friends note a true friend is someone who is there for you when no one is someone who understands you better than anyone and is someone who is willing to break their legs repeatedly just so that you'll keep moving and a true friend is someone who whats the best for you in spite their situation that's something to think about :)
