What is the purpose of a two minute phone call?

-My boyfriend has a female friend who he has worked with for nearly 20 years, but they no longer work together now. He is still friends with her and told me about her when I found calls to or from her on our phone bill. He told me her name, etc. My question is why do their phone calls only last 2 minutes. Whether he calls her or she calls him, even after a week or no calls at all, it's only 2 minutes. Does this make sense to anyone? I am happy it's not longer, so I am not complaining, just curious.it could be anything like a place they will meet or something.
