What doe itmean if a boy is mean to u wit the friends around but nice when the friends arent around?

-whenever i am with my friend kobe he is really nice and playful, but only if his friends arent around. when his friends are around he is just a total jerk. kobe and his friends would say why r u here and stuff like that. is just not normal to me for him to o that to me. we have known eachother for 3 years and then he starts acting like that. why?!the same thing has happened to me. it means he really does like u but hes scared to show it around his friends.. remember as much as you do like a guy give him 3 chances in my case i did he pranked me then lied to me then he called me a slut whore and a rock is worth more than me so dont put up with that crap even if u do like him. i still like th eguy and it wll take me a while to get over him but u and or i will eventually willHe's trying to look "cool" and "macho" in front of his friends, so they don't think he's a big girl or a wuss or whatever. This is too common with guys, unfortunately. Try not to take it personally, and when his mates are with him, don't approach any of them. He needs to know it's not on, so unless he starts showing you a bit more respect, I'd keep my distance.
He's totally a fake friend....

And I would talk to him about the problem first and if he still keeps acting that way then just drop him as a friend...
doesn't that drive you crazy! i hate it when guys do that, i guess they don't relize just how much it hurts us..
maybe he doesnt want his friends to see his nicer side niceness is look down
